Position Overview

The Leader of Training and Field Enablement will play an essential role, leading SunPower s world-class training organization.

In this role, you will lead a multi-disciplinary learning and development organization focused on enabling SunPower channel partners (dealers) and direct employees to deliver a superior experience to our collective customers.

  • You will lead the delivery of a superior customer experience through our learning and development strategy, which includes developing industry-leading instructor-led, online, and on-demand training programs to our channel partners and our internal sales and technical teams.
  • You will lead the team that delivers instructor-led sales training programs, and collaborate with other stakeholders to deliver product technical training and support the development training on topics related to operations and digital solutions
  • Your team will support the delivery of cross-functional events, including collaboration with marketing, products and other departments, to promote SunPower hardware and digital solutions as the best solutions for our mutual customers

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  1. Develop and execute the Training and Field Enablement strategy, ensuring we have scalable plans aligned with the needs of the business channels. Of primary focus are installing and non-installing dealers residential and commercial dealers.
  2. Lead the development of new training programs and content that support the adoption of SunPower's hardware and digital solutions.
  3. Consult with cross-functional teams to ensure training considerations are incorporated into new and updated hardware, digital, and service offerings.
  4. Develop processes and programs to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality training content, programs, and services.
  5. Expand adoption of SunPower's training and learning platforms.
  6. Oversee training content development and instructional design for dealers and some content development for all channel audiences.
  7. Oversee applications, use and management of the learning management system (Cornerstone).
  8. Supervise the functional managers for instructional design, sales training programs, and training support.
  9. Measure the effectiveness of training programs and establishing milestones to ensure progress and efficacy.
  10. Establish and manage the budget for training development and delivery, negotiate contracts with vendors.

RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum requirements:

  • Proven work experience and 10
    years in training related field
  • Leadership experience of managers and individual contributors
  • Experience delivering technical and sales training
    • Experience in solar or construction-related field a plus
  • Experience working with channel partners and internal teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with confidence to lead a high performing team
  • A strong collaborator with a proven ability to work cross-functionally with sales and technical staff
  • Experience in instructional design
  • Understands how to make the complex simple, find ways to make learning fun, always innovating with the delivery methods
  • Highly motivated self-starter with demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and lead the team to pursue them in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Possess a data-driven, analytical approach and be process-oriented, with strong attention to details
  • Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and oral communications skills; can-do attitude
  • Bachelor s Degree in education or related field

Up to 30% domestic travel

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
